Blog 1 "Asian Pacific Americans' social movements and interest groups", an eye opener!

After having completed the reading of this article, which goes in depth to describe some of the roots of these resources that now serve the asian american community to help them achieve equality in all forms, I have really been made aware of some the struggles that as a latino american I did not realize asian americans went through. This article really shows how the United States itself throughout time has been seen as this safe haven for all ethnicities and religions (and depending on how you see it) was founded on that principle, is really a place where one specific group is seemingly given the advantage to succeed over all other racial and ethnic groups.
